Art School

About me

I was an artist Iiving and schooling in Europe. I graduated with a bachelor’s in fine arts in 2016 from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp Belgium. I specialized in multiple mediums from drawing, sculpture, insulation, photography, and collage. I became involved in fashion design, modeling, music, acting, and more.

I was born in Northern California in 1992 and was raised in Minneapolis MN through the end of High School.
I moved to Belgium in 2010 to expand my horizons and pursue a degree in fine arts. I lived in Leuven for, for 6 months and attended KU Leuven to acclimate to life in college in Belgium.
I then moved to Antwerp to attend de! Kunst Humaniora for the next 6 months. Upon graduation there, I commenced studies at the Royal Academy. I lived as a student and artist in Antwerp for the next 5 years. As the academy was an international school, I made friends and studied with students from all over Europe. Europe is like a living museum; on every street corner and every gallery, hundreds of years of history, culture, and experience, were at my fingertips. My own travels and adventures took me to amazing places as I sought to reveal the artist inside of me.
My family is diverse and multicultural and almost nomadic by nature. My relatives come from and are widely spread throughout the European and American continents. My bloodline has been a melting pot of many races and cultures.
There are decorated war heroes of both sides as well as refugees, gold diggers, revolutionists, artist, musicians, philosophers, sculptors, healers, politicians, and mostly hardworking people who have given back to the world in some way.
Predominately, they were, and are, well educated, and humorous people. Even the women, who attended higher education 100 years ago and fought for our rights, which I am especially proud of. From both my mother and my father’s side of the family there are many creative, passionate people who have all undoubtedly influenced my need and lust for artistic expression. It is this ancestry which shaped my early years, and from which I know my artistic expression has its roots.
In many ways I see art as a detoxing and rebirthing process from all that I have inherited. The problem with art though is that sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between reality and imagination. And for me these lines became very blurred.
